I received my GFX100RF on April 24, but was too busy to actually use it before this week.

I am sharing some of my first 300+ images which were meant to get me acquainted with the new camera in different scenarios.

Observations:
  • build quality is premium
  • physical handling is very good
  • the lens is excellent
  • image quality is superb
  • f/4 and lack of IBIS are non-issues
  • AF is good — I use AF-C with Tracking (and Focus priority)
  • the EVF is very good
  • the LCD is rather useless in bright daylight
  • the Aspect Ratio dial is hard to turn
  • the Crop Zoom lever is rather soft and may be too easy to flick
  • the joystick is responsive — I use the joystick to navigate the menus and rarely use it while framing, so the hesitancy does not affect my shooting experience
  • all buttons must be pressed firmly and deliberately
Overall, I enjoy using the GFX100RF.

I am extremely impressed by the quality of your shots! MF in pocket size! We are really blessed by such tech
Thanks for your feedback.

The GFX100RF is an awesome MF camera. Fujifilm did a fantastic job designing it.

Ashley C , I remember way back before the forum went Into offline and then online with new format I had communication with your threads and posted amazing photos ( may be I was under name of Doc-1 , I forgot…did you shoot MFT then of FF?

I started my digital journey with Canon 50D, then 5D Mark III. I became intrigued with the introduction of mirrorless cameras under the MFT banner and tried Panasonic G85, then GX8 and G9. While Canon and Nikon were sitting on their DSLR achievements, I embraced Sony Alpha cameras, first with a7R II. My main gear is now a7R V.

The GFX100RF, with its interesting design and “relatively affordable” price point, has pulled me into the Medium Format garden. (I have been eyeing the GFX100S II for a while. :D )

I am starting to hear more people come around to the gfx being a value leader. I don't think I would have come to this conclusion if I had not followed a course similar to yours GX8 > A7CR > GFX100RF.

I just took the RF to a graduation, a long with my 70-350 apsc set up, and I really didn't need anything more. The amount of coverage you can get with 100MP, is ridiculous! Love this camera.
