Hello,

With my A7S, was filming in Cine4 and I have moved the files from my camera to my PC. Was wondering I could find the EXIF data I used i.e. more precisely Aperture and ISO.

I have tried exiftool but these don't appear in the report.

P.S Am running windows.

I'm not going to be much help.

The CIPA/JEITA EXIF standard only applies to still image files. Every still camera I've run across follows this standard. IPTC is another example of a widely followed metadata standard. It's pretty easy to find EXIF and IPTC readers for still images.

I understand video files don't have an equivalent metadata standard. This guy says Sony's Catalyst Browse (free) can be used to view video metadata. However, the Catalyst website doesn't clearly state whether reading video metadata is supported for the A7S.

Here's another user who very quickly goes through some exiftool command line switches for video files from Canon and Sony cameras.

I looked into this some weeks ago and the only way to get that information as far as I know is to download the free Sony Catalyst Browse application. It’s mostly used to stabilize shaky footage, and it also shows all kinds of minutia about your clips,

Many thanks got all info with Sony Catalyst Browse application
