Thank You,

VERY nice. It's so good to see the good color rendition and focus resolution of which this camera is capable. Thank you for showing what, in the right hands, this camera is capable of producing.

Thanks for sharing these shots. I ordered a G3X yesterday but have been worrying if I'd done the right thing or not. After seeing these I'm sure I'll be happy with the G3X's output.

Thanks Robert, I take you're suggestion in mind ;-)

Thanks arrow501 and you're welcome

The lenshood from my SX40 is fits the G3X, so good for sunny weather.

How awesome for you!!!

Probably you're not gonna sleep much until the new camera arrives; I didn't when mine got ordered..!

I think it's a great day here on DPR when we can teach, inspire and encourage each other.

Please post some G3X photos....!

It looks like it will only arrive next week :-O Fingers crossed the weather will be kind so I can get out and about with it and share some shots :-)

Hi: Lovely ountryside. One minor suggestion: reduce EV to -.33. I think that will prove the exposure. Regards. Bob
I've got to agree here, Guy. You have a lovely and very photogenic country side to have a stroll in. But on my calibrated 27" monitor your photos look -1/3 stop too dark here also. Try backing off to -1/3 instead of -2/3 and they will be perfect. :)

Glad you got a new G3X and hope it brings you a lot of fun. I surely love mine!

Thanks Dale, I keep the suggestion in mind for the next shoot ;-)

It's a wonderfull cam, not heavy at all, with the know good canon colors and for me easy menus. I liked it and it's a keeper. . :-D

Don't you mean +1/3? On my G7X II, when I turn the exposure compensation wheel to the negative numbers, the exposure becomes darker. So if the pictures are too dark, you would want to dial to the positive side, no?

From -2/3 to -1/3 will brighten it a tad. Lots of us Canon users shoot at -1/3EV to bring out the colors.
