Fuji metering question -

Hello all, long time lurker here. I currently own Sony FF and had a question about current Fuji models. I have owned Fuji in the past and had one bothersome issue with metering. In CAF, on half press the metering would lock and if i panned or the light changed, the metering would not continue to adjust my SS/iso, meaning the shots were subject to exposure being wrong.

I could not find any setting to change this. I have used or owned an XT3 and XT30, and briefly an XS10, all were the same issue. Im not exactly locked in to E mount or any other system and was just wondering if anybody has an answer to this, is it a bug or by design, or did i miss a setting?

On the X-Tx/X-Hx (possibly also on the X-Prox) models, one can also set this separately for AF-C and AF-S.

You can focus with the AF-ON button, and use the shutter button only for AE and shot

Yup, just turn SHUTTER AE off for AF-C (you probably want it on for AF-S). The X-T2 has separate settings for AF-S and AF-C, but the X-T20 does not. I'm pretty sure everything newer than the X-T20 (including the X-T30) has separate settings.
