That's some excellent photography! I too love my A2, and it makes some great large prints.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed the photos.

I shoot with the A2 pretty much at the factory default settings. I keep the
sharpness set to the highest settings and use the stock white balance

settings to help me emphasize certain tones. Most of the time, I shoot .jpg and let the camera so as much processing as possible. I know that technique is not necessarily in favor, but seems to it work for me.

Photoshop CS is just too cumbersome for my tastes. For PP, I use Ulead PhotoImpact V7. I apply a light unsharp mask again and adjust brightness and contrast as needed. I use PI7's despeckle or Neat Image for noise reduction as necessary. I often use a circular polarizing filter outdoors. All of the scenic web photos were taken with existing light - no flash anywhere. I use flash on in my commercial work extensively.

The A2 is great. Last April, I dropped the camera and damaged the IS function. My local repair shop really butchered the camera, so I had to send it to KM for repair. Thinking my cherished A2 might be forever lost, I did a lot of research up to the $3000 price point. I could not find another camera that did everything I need for the wide range of photos I take. Thankfully, KM was able to repair it for about $200. A bargain! I bought a second A2 in May (factory refurb) just to have as a backup. To this day, there is no other single camera or DSLR that meets my needs like the A2.

Truly stunning shots! I am very impressed ( and a bit envious)

Hi Color Bandit,

I had the A2 for a while, and in that short time, it gave me a high percentage of my favorite shots. Now I have a Panasonic FZ30, and I find it to be better in every way. A wide angle adapter will let me get back the wide end. Your thoughts.

Wonderful Images all around. I also love my A2, as it is a very versatile camera indeed!! But I also agree with Barrie's earlier post.. It's not the camera, but the hands that hold it! Thanks for sharing!!! :-)...

Cheers! Robert..

It would be nice if the A2 could open up a bit to a wider field of view beyond the 28mm. That would be handy for landscape scenics. I realize that KM makes a wide-field adapter lens as an accessory.

Thank you. I'm very satisfied and more importantly, my cutomers are happy with that size. On the commercail side, some of my images have been made into posters and banners. In these applications, you aren't standing right up on them. But happy customers are what its all about.

There is a lightning shot (the 'skeleton hand' across the sky) and two sunrises (the 'triple sunrise' and the 'flare') that I took with a 2 megapixel Sony FD-97. Now that I'm looking, I also took one of the sunrises (one right of the 'triple sunrise') with my Fuji A310 3 megapixel.
