Not about the D70 posts though :) Here's the story for today...

Went down to Rottnest Island today for a little R&R. This little island is a habitat for the endangered quokkas. For those who are not familar with these small marsupials which, look like tiny kangaroos; here's a shot:

While they are wild, they are very adapted to human presence. They are very friendly ... almost too friendly!!!!

I'm a very tolerant man, and I said to myself, "that's alright" ... but when he decided to make for my "other possessions" ...

I said "Enough is enough"; and we left the quokkas high-and-dry in a haste. No wonder they are endangered ... i.e. becoming more dangerous!!!

This story is off course not true :) Quokkas are very adorable in every sense ... Vote for a split between quokkas and squirrels!!!

That last one is very nice Regit. I like that sort of composition. And those things are cute. Can we have more marsupials and less squirrels for a month?

Great shots, Regit. Certainly brightened my day...which is already bright anyway...so that's saying a lot. Thanks for the Quokkas and the fun.

Paul

Can't believe you are an engineer :-))

These little animals really are adorable... wish the swiss squirrels were as friendly... I didn't get ONE good shot of them until now...

the second ( though I don´t like that "wild" animals become pets ) and number 4 are special.
You have the eye!

Sooooo cute! Is this island the only place they are located, or are they in other areas of the country? I've never heard of them!

I love that last shot, the perspective is great.

A very nice series Regit:
Every picture tells a story! That's what makes this a great side line.

I love the expression on the furball's face in the 2nd shot....like a young teen getting his first kiss...Hahaha! Is it just me or does Australia make the best names for critters?

Pete

Amazing! Congratulations for these great shots and thanks for sharing. Especially the last one is outstanding in terms of composition and technique.

Now you showed us one of Australia symbols (almost). Are you going to show us the other one?

Thanks for sharing such great photos.
