Encountered Err 20 on R6 Mark II on 2 different occasion. Should i be concern?

Hi,

I had updated my R6 Mark II to the latest firmware, and been using it with dual kingston canvas react plus v10 sd card for 1.5 years.

Recently (2 months apart), I encountered error 20 on R6 Mark II on 2 different occasion.

The first time Err 20 appear was right after I toggle the power on switch.

The second time Err 20 appear while I was using burst mode with H+.

Anyone else encounter this error and what did you do to fixed it. Currently, it seems to work as good as before again but could like to ask should i be concern?

I know it's two months later, but I had a similar situation with an R6, and have shot 6K frames in various settings without it repeating. I think it was a battery/contact issue. There was a bit of crud in the battery compartment I cleaned with contact cleaner.

I figure it was a bug. Did you get it fixed or did it go away (or not get worse)?

I just saw your reply. I sent it in. As it was a rare intermittent occurance, I was initially worried that it is hard to diagnose. However, the technician ran some test and was able to reproduce it. Shutter was replaced.

Thanks for replying! It ended up happening again and I had a return window that was still open so I handed it back to the store… I figure I’ll wait for the r6 iii to push prices down more and try again. It was a good reminder that cameras are complex and can have wacky issues.
