Does anyone know if the Profoto B10x Plus can be triggered via a Pocket Wizard?

I've been thinking of getting the B10x Plus and I'd like to be able to use this with some of my analog cameras as well via PC cable. Does anyone know if a Pocket Wizard (specifically the PLUS II) will trigger this light? Previously, i used a Profoto D4 pack with the PW PLUS II and had no issues with it on a Mamiya RZ67. I was wondering if maybe the PW PLUS II could also trigger a B10x Plus?

I do have the fancy Profoto Air remote with a screen, but unfortunately doesn't have a sync port (which is stupid, imo) and only works with my Canon. The older Air remote that does have the ports basically costs just as much as the current one, and i would rather not spend another $400+ on a remote just for a port.

You shouldn't have any problems.

You shouldn't have any issues but have you tried the hot shot on the RZ67? Do you have a AE Prism on the camera? There are a few options available.

I use PocketWizards with some Profoto B1 on PC cords and it works fine as long as all you need is a dumb trigger.

If it works on a B1 I think it's safe to expect it will also work on a B10 Plus. If it's on a PC cord, pretty much any trigger will fire pretty much any strobe with a PC socket.

EDIT: And, apparently, I stand corrected, as the strobes you mention don't seem to accept PC cords.

I have the B10 Plus, there is no sync port which I believe you need to connect the PW to. I believe this is the same for the B10X Plus. The sync port is on the D2 and B1.

The B10x Plus online manual indicates there is no sync socket.

The B10 series don't have optical slave, but has IR Slave. So you can't use a cheap flash to trigger the B10x.

You might look into this Aodelan E2 , cheaper Air Remote! I don't have Aodelan as I use the Air Remote.

I believe the Air Remote is very good, as I don't seem to miss fire. Based on my own experience with PW, they do not 100% trigger the strobes all the time.

Hope this helps

It doesn't have a sync port so I see no way of doing this.

If you put your Air remote on one of these and plug the sync cord in it it should work OK. If you put it in the cold shoe of the RZ be sure to insulate the pin otherwise it probably won't work.

Has anyone tried this $10 product from amazon? Trying to use a hasselblad with profoto b10x plus lights. I suppose it doesn't hurt to test it out, but wondering if it's already been tested.

I would look for something like this with a 3.5mm mini phone jack. Should be more reliable than a PC connection
