DMC-ZR3?

In researching the ZR1 I've come across several sites listing cases for the ZR1, ZR3, TZx.

Sounds interesting. Guessing it would be an upgrade of the ZS3. Probably the ZR1 with a longer zoom and bigger LCD? They would probably release it early next year is my guess.

Damn. I was waiting on getting the ZR1, now I may have to make myself wait even longer to see what the ZR3 will be like. That's technology for you. You buy something, and an upgrade comes out just a few months later.

I think it's awesome what you make out of the product description of a camera bag.

Look at it again. They list: DMC-ZR3, DMC-ZR1, DMC-TZ5, DMC-TZ4 and DMC-TZ3. Neither TZ7 nor ZS3. But ZR3, a name never mentioned before. Upgrade of ZR1, which is just hitting market? Unvealed that easily?

Wouldn't it be possible that this is nothing but a mistake, making that bag a bag not just for TZ3, TZ4 and TZ5, but also TZ7 a.k.a. ZS3? I would even suggest that it should read ZS1, not ZR1.

I know. Pretty amazing aren't I?

We are not dealing with govt secrets here, so a slip like this is not that far fetched. People report upgrades to Apple/Blackberry/Playstation devices all the time through minor slips like this.

We all know there is a continual line of upgrades with these things. So not far fetched to assume they'll take the best of the ZS3 and put it into a ZR1 frame. In fact I think it is pretty much guaranteed that is what's going to happen. And with their past record of issuing upgrades, it's likely going to happen sometime next year.

And in the end, there's no harm in a bit of speculating.

it's mostly likely a typo for the ZS3 since they didn't list it among the others...
