Had the GFX-50S MkII for a month now and just got to thinking I'd figured out the settings that work for me from the somewhat diabolical menu system (at least to a lifelong Nikon user).

Today the camera threw me a curved ball in that when using aperture priority mode the shutter speed display vanished- apparently on its own. I'm sure you know the feeling of having to dash home and consult the computer and that's what I did - Seems one has NOT to have the Dynamic Range setting on Auto for some reason and altering this to any other DR pre-set restores said shutter speed display in aperture priority mode.

Is this some sort of glitch I wonder? I haven't been near the DR settings, (as far as I know), which I presume have been on Auto by default. I shoot in RAW only which, again, I'm assuming is unaffected by DR settings? I mean under what circumstances would one NOT want to know the shutter speed in Aperture Priority mode anyway?

Any insights appreciated. Thanks, Philip.

I don't know whether it's a glitch or not, but my GFX 100 II behaves the same way. The camera has to be in Aperture Priority, and DR Auto. The shutter speed is shown only on a half-press of the shutter.

In general, I leave the DR at 100%, so initially I didn't see this until I recalled your comment.

Thanks, In addition, it having taken the best part of a month for me to configure the camera to my liking I'm dreading losing all my settings on the GFX-50 as there doesn't seem any way to save and store them as a file. Unless I am mistaken.

This is simple on the Nikon Z8.

Are you using the Fuji app? With my 100S, I save all the settings to the phone and restore them as needed. It works well.

Didn't know about that - will check it out. Thanks!

I find it very handy because Fuji doesn't give me an on-camera way to "reset" to the way I want it. This works though. Before I go out, I revert to the last good saved version. I have my phone with me anyway so this works well.
