Hi,

I'm interested in buying a high quality CP (46mm) for my GH2.

I need some advices about what to look for. I heard that can be issues with autofocussing.

Thank you.

You can use a less expensive linear polarizer and save some money. The CPL requirement is for DLSRs that use a semi-silvered mirror. Your GH2 doesn't have one.

That said, it's getting harder to find quality LPs these days. Most likely you'll have to buy a CPL (and it will work fine on your GH2). I have been very pleased with the quality of the Marumi CPLs and NDs. Made in Japan, and less expensive than some of the better-known brands.

The AA filter in front of the sensor uses anisotropic material and so works based on polarization. Theoretically you could affect the correct operation of this filter with a linear polarizing filter...
