My best investment ever in photography software

Thanks for the support.

How do you like the new Quick Edit functionality?

If you look at the quality of the decoded image at 200%, (Fuji compressed RAF, Nikon HE/HE*, Sony RX1RIII, etc.), it is so much better than Affinity Photo 2 and FastRawViewer. Not by a little, but by a lot.

Improvement is not just limited to image quality, but RAW decoding speed. You can now open a 100Mpix GFX compressed RAW in ~1 sec on Apple Silicon Macs. I tested that with M1 Ultra and M4 Pro MBP.

I've neither time nor enthusiasm for doing a lot of post-processing, so shoot raw+jpeg and try to get good results sooc. Mostly I've being loading raws into Apple Photos when I wanted a few adjustments - exposure/highlights/shadows/cropping - and only use a more complex editor for a select few images.

You've just done away with the need to go to Photos :-D

Yup, Quick Edit is meant for those who just want to do something quick and perhaps the output is to be shared with friends and family.

The output quality is the same as the more powerful editing apps, like Nitro. Nitro and ApolloOne shared the same RawBridge™pre-processor tech and have very similar Metal processing pipeline.

You can do a drag-and-drop of the edited RAW images to Facebook in the browser, and it'll do conversion and bake-in your edits instantly.

Drag-and-drop to WhatsApp desktop app.

AirDrop the files to your iPhone and metadata will be preserved.

Version 4 just changes everything, because you no longer need to edit and export to a JPEG, saving time and disk space. Now you can view your RAW files and the edits are applied automatically as you view them.

Hi Albert

Any chance you might port ApolloOne to the iPad?

I like the app on my MBP, but I use my iPadPro a lot for image editing as well and am looking for an ApolloOne style app for iPad and as far as I can see there is a gap there as all the apps I can find seem to be based around Photos, which I don't want to use

I get fair bit of requests for an iPad version. Can't promise it'll come anytime soon, but it is definitely on my radar.
