Yes, this is posted over in the other Fuji forum on DPR that I mod. However, I've seen a lot of members over thinking of cancelling Prime or going further and cancelling their Amazon account entirely. Many are considering this to "send a message" to Amazon on the closure of DPR, or even to Amazon in general.
Here's what happens:
Here's what happens:
- Quit Prime: Nothing really. You don't pay the annual fee, you keep your Amazon (and all associated accounts) and you can still order from Amazon, just without the Prime benefits. You can resume Prime at anytime.
- CLOSE YOUR AMAZON ACCOUNT: Think long and hard about this one. It is not reversible and will have a wide impact. This link explains all that will be impacted. Here are some of the "highlights" of things you will lose (if you use them or have an account for them):
- Access to your purchase history, receipts, refund history, etc.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Amazon Seller Account
- Amazon Associate account
- Amazon Pay (does anyone really use this?)
- Balances on your gift cards in the account
- Whole Foods profile and preferences
- IMDb.com pro membership (general account stays open)
- Prime video, music, photos (incl. all content)
- Audible (lose access to all previously purchased items. Yes, you bought them, but no longer yours if you delete the account)
- Kindle (same as Audible)
- Amazon devices (lose access to Amazon services)
- Alexa (see devices)
