I had a hunch that my Raw (DNG) cellphone pictures looked better out of Photo 2 than before, and the hunch seems to have been correct. DxO PhotoLab doesn't support phones, so Affinity was my go-to option because it develops better than old-ish Topaz.
Perhaps it's mostly a matter of spreading out the histogram, but Photo 2 has much better defaults for Raw development. Here's a comparison with the Panasonic G90. All sliders were left as they were after file open. Then I clicked Develop and selected Export as JPEG.
