Inspired by the Michael Moore thread above, i figured I'd post some images I took of the president. He visited Reno yesterday and I had the chance to see both him and Michael Moore within 12 hours of each other. I have to say, the crowd for MM was larger, and much more enthusiastic than the Bush supporters. But on the the photography side of things, this was a great opportunity to bust out the 20D and 300mm f/4 L IS + 1.4 TC. Images are resized and a little sharpening done with Intellisharpen. The last two of the supporters was taken with a 24-85mm. Enjoy

Despite what I think of G. Bush, and I won't go deeper into it since the other post did it, I think these pictures are really really good, sharp and good light.

Please tell me that the lady in the last photo doesn't have the right to vote!

Jeez, That will scare you to the right if nothing else will.

Life is like riding in a taxi. Whether you are going anywhere or not, the meter keeps running. John C. Maxwell

He meant the GW pic that shows him behind the wheel of a pickup with a bulge in his back, which people suspect is some kind of radio, which he also supposedly used during the first debate, getting answers from someone else. I've seent the photo in question and have decided it's either his shoulder blade (funny angle to photo) or a bullet proof vest.
That secret service guy is almost a movie stereotype of the USSS people.

Why wouldn't she have the right to vote? Do you judge people on their appearances?

I don't see what's wrong with her tatoos or anything else. It's still a free country, isnn't it?

pics of W should ALSO be a problem. They are both political and controversial. My thought is that it shouldnt be a prob to post pics of either of them.,.but it seems a lot of Bush supporters would only have us post pics that they approve of..wow sounds sort of like how Bush operates..

I avoid the political threads like the plague since this is a photography forum, but sometimes you must point out ignorance.

George Bush's grandfather's company was seized during WWII for trading with the enemy ie **** Germany. He made the family fortune off of it according to most accounts.

Here are a few references, but feel free to google "prescott bush ****" anytime you want. The Bushes and Chaney's are not good people. They have no qualms about making fortunes by dealing with our sworn enemies.

I can't imagine how anyone could have found that thread inspiring...

I had to comment, you have taken some really outstanding photos here! They are appear technically good - perfectly exposed, clear, sharp and the color is excellent. More importantly, you seem to have captured the flavor of the event. These are by far the best PJ style election election event coverage I have seen posted on the forums (apologies to others).

With such excellent photography, it is too bad this thread is going to deteriorate into a playground shouting match.

I don't give a cr@p about the political comments.

What I do care about is the photography and these are really good pictures. Thanks for sharing them.

So what you're saying is we should still hate all germans also for what Hitler did right? I have a guy of german decent that sits in a cubicle right next to me, he seems like a nice enough guy but, he is of german decent so I guess he is bad, I'll let everyone know.

Wow, the Japs bombed Pearl harbor, we should still hate them too right?? or are they considered freedom fighters to you like the psycho extremeist muslim terrorists blowing up everyone including what happened on 9/11.

Get stoned, tie die a shirt, put on some sandals and stick our heads in the ground, that's what we should all do.

I want to be a lesbian, I know I am a man but I want the right be a lesbian. WHOO HOO, I think this irrational talk is fun!! Maybe I will vote for Kerry.
