Buydig.com: Reputable?

Believe it or not, they supposedly are. 8.81 on resellerratings.com, and some pretty good testimonials on dpReview, too.

Buydig.com is run by Beach Camera, who also has great numbers, and gets comments like "lowest priced reputable dealer".

It's interesting that neither Bydig.com nor Beach camera beat B&H on lifetime ratings, but their 6 month ratings are tops. Either they've got some shillls running thr ratings up, or they're doing very well by their customers these days.

I bought a 28mm Nikon lens from them a few months ago. They do have good prices and the transaction was without incident. Except, Nikon is offering a rebate on the lens, and although I've asked for the form several times, I have yet to receive it.

I have ordered from them many times and I have never had a problem. They always ship the order quickly but there is minimal customer contact. You have to watch their prices almost daily as they are constantly changing them. They do not always have the lowest prices, sometimes B&H is actually cheaper on some items. They do seem to have the lowest prices on cameras. I would definitly buy from them again in the future.

Would the generic Nikon rebate from the Nikon site work?

I could not find a form on the Nikon site, only the list of lenses and cameras. It indicated that I needed to get the form from the retailer. Thanks anyway. dpc
