Today I received a letter from the President of Sigma, Japan, to thank me for my contributions to Sigma, by having a few prints of my work exposed at the Sigma booth at Photokina this year.

As we all know, it is Laurence who has taken the responsibility for this, including the printing! Al I did was send a CD. That was easy!

I want to officially and openly thank Laurence for his work in promoting the SD9-10.

Laurence and Dominic have put more time and effort in this project than you can imagine. It is a credit to Dominic and him that they stuck with this project.

Laurence, Dominic, and a few others were involved in putting this exciting event together.

Anyone can support their great efforts by visiting the foveonX3.org mand make a little bit of contribution.

Also, If you are in the area for Photokina, stop by the Sigma booth to see the display and give them a little pat in the back for me.

Finally, you still have time to get your shot for the Sigma Shoot. so get out and excercise that trigger finger!

I fith, sixth, seventh? that!

I think that sigma images speak for themselves and the best way to recruit new users is to show them waht the camera can do.

So thank you to Laurence et. al.for doing this!

I think that it is also a credit to sigma that they have taken the time to thank people for getting involved with this.

(Laurence I hope your letter had a decient bottle of sake attached!).

Again thank you to all involved.

Thanks,

Wes.

I fully concur with the sentiments expressed by the members of this forum and add my thanks to Laurence & Dominic. The letter(s) from Sigma Corporation expressing their appreciation only further underscores their commitment to the end user(s) of their great products.

And my final two seasonal installments to the Sigma Seasonal Shoot are about to be sent to Chunsum this AM.

Thank-you Laurence and Dominic.

I've received the E-mail with a lot of appreciation from Mr.Yamaki
president of SIGMA, too.

Also I should say a lot of "Thank you!" to Laurence and Dominic.

Unfortunately, I cannot see prints on the wall and sample image
portfolio at SIGMA booth in Photokina 2004.
However, someday someone will make the gallery for this in
pbase SIGMA Users' gallery.

Thank you again to very nice guys.

Laurence and Dominic,

We really appreciate your hard work to make Sigma a success in Photokina.

When you talk with Sigma representatives there, will you please press them to produce a portrait lens with large aperture and good bokeh? If they can divert a small portion of there resource from developing macros to this project... They have produced too many macro lenses with terrible bokeh.

Although it may not be very profitable to do this when C and N have cheap yet superb portrait lens available, Sigma should think of our support and show their appreciation in the form of meeting the demands of Sigma camera users.

Yi

You guys who go to photokina make sure you make some images of the display booth so we can see how it looked.

Thanks to D and L indeed and to everybody who contributed their images.

Cheers,

Printing pics on my own printer to match the monitor is hard enough. We might have a clue some day just how difficult was the task to produce these prints. Many, many thanks, Laurence and Dominic for your effort promoting the Sigma cameras.

Yes, many thanks to Laurence and Dominic for the many hours of effort and $$ that went into this.

But, also thanks to those supporting the User's Group pages on pbase, and David's work on foveonx3.org.

And, of course, those that submitted the images, much love went into those as well.

I am humbled for not doing more, as others contribute so much.
