In this next series, lets have some fun with perspective shots, starting with sense of Height shots. These can be photos that were shot from the top of buildings, from the top of hills, bridges, mountains, from airplanes, hot air balloons, or just looking straight down at something. It doesn't matter if it's 10 feet, or 5000, anything that gives the sense of height. Here are a couple of examples to get things started. Good luck!

It is easier to blame the firmware than the wetware.

Now that's high! I love the half moon in the background. Great capture.

Very nice, Rat. The photographer in the shot helps to give the height more perspective. Nice work.

What's worth a thousand words? Well, it's in the eye of the beholder.

I don't think your last photo shows much height at all. Then again, I feel the same away about some photos I took.

I'll have to load some of my Michigan Dunes photos I took on vacation. These dunes were tall, yet I don't think the photos I took conveyed the height well at all.

Is it me or does this photo not convey height very well? I'm not criticizing, or meaning to anyway, but I feel my own photos of nature equally fail to capture the sense of height when you are at the bottom or top of a tall hill.

Ok...with skyscrapers....yes, the height is obvious.

Is it just my eyes?

Hi Lee. Since we are doing perspective shots in this series, it isn't the amount of height that is important, just the sense of height. So even a few feet can give a sense of height, when shot straight down, and dozens of feet when shot at an angle.

Looking up at a structure also gives a sense of great height, as you show so well in these first two great captures. The third one, looking down, is also a great example.
