Are 1500,1200, and 600 Output power units in wattseconds? Are they equivalent to Bowens rating 250,500,1000,1500? Albeit age may have reduced power slightly. or is it significantly?

Hi Paddy :-))

it's a good price / value IMO. I don't know about the service / spare parts situation in Eire, in Germany in know of sb who offers that all. Should be no prob.

Power values are equal to Bowens as far as diff. brands are comparable. (i.e. capacitor numbers are not the only aspects of output, but that's picky) To age: as long as the flash tubes don't show heavy, black condensation there shouldn't be a noticeable loss in power. In case you mix them with others, warmer (Bowens) strobes, well, just gel with a little amber. Again, sounds good.

Peter,

your advice and written english is excellent.

Amber warm up is so basic! Probably would have thought of it myself but good to get common sense reassurance about our ability to control the studio.

Regards and thanks again.

Ronan

PS I would have said you were a native user of English. No grammer errors at all and consistent informal usage. Excellent. A+.

Ronan,

thanks for your kind comments on my efforts. Due to the fact that the internet's "native" tongue is English it's easy to practise....different to French (for instance) where a computer's called "ordinateur", a digital cam "appareil numerique" :-))
Good luck & light, Peter
