Watermark on pictures

I am looking for a camera that produces a watermark on the image. My only restriction is that I want to be able to change the text using a serial RS232 port. I have looked at the Kodak DC220, DC260, DC265, and DC290 but they have all been discontinued. Does anyone know of any more cameras that I should look into?

You didn't mention the 280, but it lives on 95% the same in the 3400. If the 280 had this feature, the 3400 does too.

Your best bet is to find a DC290 -- it is the only one available that can do what you need. although it has been discontinued (i don't know where you got this but the Kodak website mentions nothing about its discontinuity), it is the only one that allows you to add TEXT as WATERMARK via the SERIAL port.

Pepe,

I haven't found a mention of the discontinuity anywhere but the Kodak site. When on the digital camera page there is a drop down box at the bottom of the page that allows you to select the product you want to view. In this list, the all of the cameras I listed below, including the DC290, are listed under the heading, "Discontinued Digital Cameras". I also found the following web page at Kodak that says the same thing.

Hi Kale,

I missed that one. Usually, when you go directly to the Kodak product's page, there is a big statement there if the product has been discontinued. Anyway, you can still find the DC290, albeit rarely.
