Here's one for you E-1 tinkerers... RM-1 strangeness

The remote from my older Oly cameras works with the E-1 just as advertised... but...

When in remote trigger mode (either one), when I shoot an image with the remote, the file writes normally, but the rec view takes forever to appear, like 20+ seconds. During this time, I can shoot more images with the remote, but all of the controls on the camera are locked, no menus, no changing settings, nothing....

It doesn't matter what file mode the camera is in, or what exposure mode.

With the camera in remote mode, an exposure can be taken via the on-camera shutter release and the rec view image displays immediately, just like normal. The delay only occurs when the exposure is taken with the RM-1.

Can anyone duplicate this? What am I missing?

Mine works the same, with or without the remote cable the preview appears at the same time.

i can't replicate your situation, maybe you have the noise filter on or something?

Nope, no noise filter... like I said, I can make an exposure using the camera shutter release, no problem, then immediately make an exposure with the IR remote (not talking about the cable release), and the delay occurs...

I tested the IR remote release and i have no problem, it works just the same as the cable release and the body release, the pic appears on the lcd almost inmediatly.
