Only had a little time to "plat/learn and found it to be very interesting!

Best so far is the new EVF, much more detail than 6900 and seems crisper then the 602's I've tried.

Also, faster focus.

Actually had to study manual on some thing very simple [Oh well the com, plicated stuff was easy].

After about a minute the camera [other than the fact they moved the Aperture adjustment button] felt at home even though I kept moving my thumb to the wrong control for the zoom.

Even focused very quickly with the TCON-17 in place.

The constant rain last night and today is makeing this much harder than it has to be [scheduled for tommorow and possibly Thursday also].

Even when adjusted for the ISO difference the S7000 seems to be more seneitive to my flash than my 6900.

Oh, well I have a wedding scheduled next month and want to know the camera backwards, forwards, in bright light and dim by then.

For those who have the S7000 does 2 Fuji 512 MB xD cards seem enough for a wedding? or should I go for a third or a CF card?

Great news! Glad you are pleased and moving forward.

I really like having both the xD and CF I in at the same time. So quick and easy to switch and keep going.

I know I am stuck on this, but the Ridata 512mb or 1gb is a very good choice. Best of luck!

I'm very glad you now have the S7000, I look forward to see your next posts&pics.

hmm...2x512 cards seem not enough for a wedding to me, but you have time to discover yourself how much space you need. I'd not shoot under 12m fine quality (-> set sharpness to 'soft') . Raw will give you even more pp possibilities, again try asap yourself to realize the difference.

If you need really a lot of space instead of buying many cards you might consider one of these

Congrats ! I think you'll enjoy the S7000...

As I am no professional it's hard to say whether you will need some extra cards. Using 12Mp fine-mode you'll get about 100 pics/512MB. I myself decided not to buy so many cards but a XDrive-II (40GB) to store the data "on the road".

The Xdrive works well but if you have to rely on the media you might look for some gear with verifying opportunities - in the market you'll find everything if you've got enough money to spend ;-)
