i was wondering if there is a difference between PCMCIA card SmartMedia readers for the C-2020? Which is superior? Why? And where is it available? Thanks.--Ken Levine

I just picked up a Delkin PCMCIA reader and it works great. Older ones were limited to the capacity of the card, but I don't think there are any of those left at the wharehouses. I had a Kingston one that only went up to 16meg. I picked the Delkin one at amazon.com for $39.99, so I'd imagine there a little cheaper elsewhere. I was using a gift certificate, so I had to find something that wasn't too overpriced.

I use the Olympus MA-2E in my Tectra 8000 laptop. I have used a 32 MB SM without a problem. Loading time is a non-issue .....Barry

Thanks for the advice to date. is the Microtech PC Card adapter for the C-2000 the same model for the C-2020 and does it accept a 32k smartmedia card?

I have a Microtech adapter rated for SmartMedia up to 128MB. The older adapters only went up to 16MB. Works great with my 32MB cards. Should also work with the new 64MB cards, but I'll wait until the price is more reasonable.

I purchased mine from d-Store.
