Important New D70 Flaw!

I just can't believe what you're complaining about...

some hundrets of poor chineese or taiwaneese women are stiching those straps for couple of bucks per day so companies like nikon can cut their costs as much as possible by paying those people as little as possilble...

and you crazy man complain about 2milimeters different in the lenght of the stich...

hey, you're not buying anything like super leather hand made camera case from Leica for $ 1000...

you're buying the whole camera with all the accesories for less than $ 1000...

If the two different stitches could lead into lower quality of your professional photographical outputs, then, it's the real time to replace the strap...

it's just a strap, it's not the electronics or anything important in or on your camera!!!! or is it???!!!

man, you should look for a doctor today or it will be too late then...

That's of of the most ridiculous complaint obout anything I have ever read here (unless it is not meant seriously...)

now please download the latest D70 firmware. It supposes to turn D70 into D70s, so you will like the larger LCD. BTW, I understand that for registered D70 owners a black D70S body label can be ordered on the Nikon website.

Yeap, AJ is one sick puppy, but he does have a sense of humour :-)

That is NOT true,

I'll tell you the real secret stuff in the upgrade, but you promise not to tell anyone.

After you upgrade it will take pics with the lens cap on, saves buying protective filters for all your lenses, with the savings you can buy a spare body!

Remember you promised not to tell anyone :-)

That's it......Canon here I come!
After several days of using my new D70, I was quite delighted with
the camera operation, the feel, and most of all -- the images. But
after reading about all the serious problems people are finding, I
decided to look a closer look.

Yes, i found a serious flaw in the manufacturing: The leather ends
of the neckstrap have asymmetical stitches! Exactly how this
serious flaw can affect my images has not yet been determined --
but I'm not going to take chances. After all, a flaw is a flaw!

Ooooh, this is excellent! Because I recently purchased a Canon backback (it's not any good, of course, but price too low to resist) for my soon to be purchased D70s. Do you think Nikon will offer this label in canvas?

Give me a break... everyone knows the Nikon stitching is clearly superior. Look at the pic again, do a search and read the manual. You'd then realize how much better Nikon stitching is...

Another Canon Troll...

1. IR sensor is in a silly place
--------------------------------
The infra-red remote sensor is in the most stupid place imaginable. -- you have to reach your arm around the front of the camera and blindly zap away in the vain hope that you will hit the darned thing? It's absurd.
There is work around of this. Cut a small piece of aluminum foil, place it on the top of D70. I found it best slip it in accessory shoe then fold the foil up so you can see it from back of D70. Now you can aim the remort control at the foil, zap away from the back of D70. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.
