Important New D70 Flaw!

After several days of using my new D70, I was quite delighted with
the camera operation, the feel, and most of all -- the images. But
after reading about all the serious problems people are finding, I
decided to look a closer look.

Yes, i found a serious flaw in the manufacturing: The leather ends
of the neckstrap have asymmetical stitches! Exactly how this
serious flaw can affect my images has not yet been determined --
but I'm not going to take chances. After all, a flaw is a flaw!

AJ

How could they? I just don't believe it. This is too much. I am suing Nikon. Totally unacceptable. That could have caused me as serious neck injury!

Funniest thing I've read for months!

Maybe Nikon Inc should put you - AJ, in charge for their quality control.
Then you could print new businesscards reading: Quality Control Manager.
I'm sure Nikon Inc would pay you at least 200k a year!

Well, Rog . . . . pass my name along. I may be available.

:)

What have we got now:

1. Moire or traffic light problem;
2. Blooming;
3. Red green problem at ISO 200, 1/8000th and f/2.8;
4. Gridded pattern in sky at 1/1250th; and now
5. Asymmetrical neck strap stitching!

This is definitely a lemon camera. I can see Nikon going out of business over this.

All those great sample photos from the D70 on the net must have been flukes. Yep, if you take a good quality picture with this camera you should take a bet on the horses; you must be so lucky.

(Warning – this was a poor attempt at humour. I have found that if you don’t tell people its humour they get all twisted up in a knot)
