Maxxum 650si battery issues

I have two questions.

1) I broke my battery door hing while taking it on and off and have been trying to get a new one. Any one know where I can get one?

2) I have a vertical grip. When the grip is screwed all the way in the camera won't turn on. However, when you losten it a couple of turns it now works. So I tried the regular battery door (the one broken above). When it is just in place it works, but if you press on the door to push the battery all the way up tight it turns off. Any ideas? My guess is a contact problem. But no idea on how to fix it.

I wish I can help you, I normally go to the Minolta service center for problems like that.

The vertical grip VC-600 goes well with 2CR5 lithium batteries and do not try to use AA batteries in it. This is a inheritated problem. Otherwise you can go to MInolta service center from a solution
