How Would You ReTouch This Photo?

Aye, it's not going to be one of those award-winning shots simply because it's not crystal clear. No amount of sharpening will help.

To improve it, in addition to sharpening, I'd maybe saturate the colors a little more. +20?

that's subjective...depends what you are after. I can't find the post on this one but I think the person did an excellent job and it doesn't look like all the other's I've seen. It isn't clear, it's grainy or textured, and it's dark and muted...yet I think it is excellent. You can tell how blurring the background works too. You don't have to have a perfect picture when you have a tool like photoshop.

Pasted Orignal back on top - 100% Pin Light
Flattened
Lightened in Curves slightly
Sandstone Texture: 100/2/TL
Made larger White Canvas
Used eyedropper on Dark Green Leaf
Made larger Green Canvas
Added same Sandstone texture to Green Mat
Added 3 pixel-centered Black Stroke to inside of Green Mat
Cloned out a few spots on leaves
