The Awful Color of the D2h

It really sucks...

Peter
Great shot, Peter,

Tell us the specifics, please. Lighting? Color Mode? Any post processing?

I'm loving my D2H but I've only had it about 2 weeks. I've done a wedding, a figure skating job and a family portrait with it. My trusty D100 stands ready to backup or supplement.

I must say, I'm still learning the best settings to use to minimize post processing. Love shooting in RAW though. Makes it easy to change WB and color mode, etc.

D2h + SB-800

The SB-800 was set up with BL and the head pointed up straight at out ceilng with the bounce fash card popped out.
+0.3 flash compensation

The camera was set to manual
Focal : 135mm

ISO 200
WB : Auto

Peter,

You should ask for a refund. I know I would.

However, if you are too sick of the camera already, I'll do you a favour (see I spelt it the English way), send the camera to me and I will take the matter up with Nikon Japan (seeing that I'm nearer to Japan than you are). Of course it will take perhaps 2 years or so before we can get this resolved. I promise to keep you posted during the 2 years.

How does that sound to you? :> ))

Nice cute little model you've got there Peter.

Happy shooting.

I do a lot of programming and have to spell colour the USA way many times so I am a confused English person who sometimes spells it colour and sometimes color

well at least I can say Aluminium correctly.... ;)

Is that "Aloomineeyum" or "Aloominum", phonetically speaking?

It was "ALUMINE" (1761, Louis-Bernard Guyton de Morveau ) "ALUMIUM" (1808, Sir Humphrey Davy), "ALUMINUM" (for ease), and after that "ALUMINIUM" to conform with the names of other elements.
