In my ongoing series of featured photos and cameras on my home page, this week's belongs to the Canon D60.
This image was shot with the Canon 100-400L IS at 400mm handheld. It still remains my best "sold" and most popular image in my archives.
The Patas monkey is from North Central Africa. They are the world's fastest terrestrial primates. A male patas monkey is capable of sustained running at about 35 miles per hour. In the wild, they spend more time on the ground than any other monkey. Patas monkeys are reddish tan in color with very expressive, whiskered faces. They average around 18 pounds when full grown.
This picture was post produced as a soft formal "portrait".
Enjoy!
