Let's see some portraits of our STF dogs. Our wonderful 4-legged companions need some air time here. Who's there for us when we're sad from missing the perfect picture...our dogs. Who's there for us when we've chosen the wrong camera settings...our dogs. Who's there for us when we're cross-eyed reading all the posts....our dogs.

Post your pooch's pic, include name, breed, and one thing he/she most likes to do.

I'll start.

Here's Kobi, a 4.5 year old German Shepherd. Her favorite thing to do is play ball. She rings a bell in the house that means she would like to go outside...usually to play "fetch the softball".

Thanks, Isabel. When we found her she had become a street dog, but it was obvious that she had been abandoned by someone since she understood commands in Turkish quite well, loved car rides and promptly jumped in bed with us (still does on all counts). She was just too cute to leave on her own, and she was obviously craving some human companionship. That was six years ago; now she has physically traveled completely around the world and is back home in Ankara. Still remembers her street days, however, since she can't ever pass up a garbage pile on the street :-).

Helen
How wonderful of you to make a home for her!

My wife and daughter selected this shepherd/greyhound mix from the city pound while I was in the hospital. When I first came home I had some reservations, but she adopted me and I'm now her's.

When we are eating and she thinks she would like some of what we are eating, which is most of the time, she goes and gets a paper plate. She then goes from one person to the next, until someone puts some food on her plate. She then takes her plate with the food and goes off to eat.

We have to keep the dead-bolt on the security door engaged because she has figured out how to open the door using the door knob. It's not a round knob but an elongated horizontal handle which she learned to turn and push, thus opening the door.

Kerry...wow...that's a lot of dog. Do you happen to have a picture
of his handsome mug? He looks very strong!
He's a PITA to photograph... I've got a couple that might be okay. I'll dig them out and post them later. Here's an old one I took with the CD1000. It's oversharpened, but not too bad.... :-(
