1st, are you shooting primarily in ISO64? If so, are you able to get decent hand held shots? Are you having to slow the shutter down more than you would have with the 717?

If you are shooting in ISO100, is the noise worse than the 717 at ISO 100.

I love the resilution of the 828, but this whole CA and having to use ISO64 bother me.

Thanks and happy shooting.

Been shooting mostly at ISO64, some higher, gone from long exposures ranging from 2-3 seconds to 1/800th and 1/1000th, with no real problems so far.

A few examples using the Shutter Priority mode:

Honestly I'm happy so far with what I'm getting. Did some prints on a friend's HP 10PS printer, A3 size, and honestly it's damn crisp, really impressive for a camera under 1000 dollars.

Thanks for the samples. Are you having to use slower shutter speeds than wtih your previous camera at ISO100 to get the same exposure?

Nukester,

From what I can tell so far (and I do not have the f828) ISO 100 on f828 is equivalent to ISO 100 on f717.

If this is the case, your concerns should not be a problem, because then you can just keep on shooting at ISO 100 so you are not affected by shutter speeds.

If you want a faster ISO, then yes the shutter will slower, but this is added functionality, not restrictive functionality.

This can be compensated by opening up the apeture, allowing for faster shtter speeds. it should only be a real problem under low light conditions.

Under these conditions, flash would be appropriate anyway.

Cheers
