I noticed that http://www.scan.co.uk are now listing the "2.2Gb ScanFlash Magicstor Compact Flash Media" @ £164 under Products -> Flash Memory or £146 under Today Only (which runs out shortly). Plus delivery I guess.

I do not currently need more media, but I thought it would be worth a post. Anyone used one of these with a FAT16 (D30/D60) based camera ?

If memory serves me correct, someone on the Sigma forum tried either a CF 2.2GB or a MD 2.2GB on their SD9 (which appears to be a FAT16 device) and it failed. In theory, it should have worked, as it is the partitions that can not be addressed beyond 2Gb within FAT16 address-space, yet drives beyond that tend to get segmented into 2GB. Perhaps a deeper issue with the way in which camera controllers work (not comparable to conventional IDE controllers...?)

there are other warning in this forum and in other forums as well.
check them before buying.
