Hi John,

Nice Pics, I wish the fall color here in the Northwest looked that good, I don't think we will get much of a peak. We will just have to settle with cloudy rainy days. BTW what were other settings on the S2 std org etc.

Thanks for posting.

Hi Stan,

Thanks ! I use Org/Org/Stndrd. I failed to mention also that these were taken with the Nikkor 28-70 2.8d IF-ED

More time would make me even happier.

nice fill flash as usual. I like the last one best not necessarily her expression, just the picture on the whole. More her less background. The other images of her 'her' are nicer but the background is also shouting for attention (only MHO). The fall colors are so lovely.

Nice job, didn't expect any less.

Hi GMD,

Yeah that spot where I took that I use quite a bit. Different times of the year and on sunny days only. Its nice to have the woods in the background but even nicer to be in the woods.

Thanks !

Great shots - you've given us a good selection of moods. She really has a lovely figure and the 3rd shows that. I noticed in one of the shots the sky looked a bit gray - do you ever use a gold reflector? Focus is also spot on - I'm assuming center pont? Thanks very much for sharing.

that you underexposed your flash 1.5 to 2 stops?

Great execution of fill flash!

Hey John,

What a great shoot you've had, well done!

I really miss those North American fall colours (I hail from Canada). We just don't get the same feeling here in England (your images bring it all back to me: the dry, crisp air, the the smell of the woods and leaves, the wind gently blowing through the branches ).

Do I understand you correctly: you've used both an SB28 and strobes? Can you tell me anything about your lighting setup and how you positioned them? (my strobes would require a pretty long extension cord to get me into the woods :-)

Cheers!

Chas

Hi James,

Yes you are correct sir ! I also use the plastic diffuser and the bounce card at times when getting up close with the SB-28

Thanks !

John.

Great Job as always .... I've got to keep a link to this collection of shots ... if only to remind me just how good fill flash can get. Someday, if I try hard at it - I might achieve this level .... Excellent work!! You must have a lot of happy clients.

Hi Chas,

Thanks ! Sorry to confuse I used the SB-28 only and my CWB was set to my studio strobes with a Kodak gray card. I use the same CWB in studio as I do out.
