Hi all,

I have seen some discussion re photomicrography in these pages and have some ideas as far as potentially capable cameras. However, as I have very little experience in this area and none digital, I was hoping someone would be able to reiterate to me exactly what camera models I should look for that could be easily adapted for use with a microscope (not necessarily dedicated). Primary use will be with a Olympus X-Tr dissecting scope for documentation of plant tissue culture research.

I have seen mentioned Nikon CP950, 990; Olympus C2000Z, C2500L; Canon Pro70; and several Sony models. I would like to keep total system costs around $1000. If anyone could make a suggestion I would appreciate it.--Jeremy

I like Olympus C2000 - C3000 series camera's. The C2040/C3040 are idea:

Hi Jeremy,

I have had some success with an Oly C-2020Z. Four examples can be seen at http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=851965&a=6196153
Good luck.
