I thought the 850z did take mpeg movies?

Maybe I'm mistaken (too much research) , but doesn't the 850z record short (10 sec.) mpeg movies already? Also, with regards to camera features,

let's not forget time is money. The 850z has a USB connector... much faster than serial - especially when downloading many Mb's of photos. That

was a specific feature I sought, one which led me to the Epson 850z. I'm glad I did my research! Now, if we can only get a FireWire port on these

things. I guess that will come with the aforementioned 3 megapixel cameras next year. :

No the Epson does not record MPEG movies.

It does record 3, 5, and up to 10 seconds of audio for to place notes on the pictures you take.
