Hey there,

I just received my new CP5400 today and already shot about 70 pictures.
I must say the pictures are very good for now, better IMO than the 5700.
The 28 mm allows really cool stuff, some barrel distortion though.

With the same CF card (256 MB Samsung), the 5400 is really slower writing than the 5700 ! I mean I don't know about every size and quality, I only shoot at max resolution in fine quality. The cam hung while it is writing and I advice not to change the settings during that moment. The cam simply hung once and I had to remove the battery, it was stuck while writing process.

The optic viewfinder doesn't show much of the actual picture, use the digital viewfinder ! I am quite disappointed it doesn't have a LCD.

These are my very first considerations about the 5400 since I know a lot of people are considering that camera. For now, I am really pleased !

For your information, the firmware version is 1.3 (yes !)

More to come...

If you are interested about how it goes with my cam, you can contact me thru MSN : [email protected]
