I read the customer ratings of Buydig and Beach and most of them are pleased. How come every once in awhile, there is one that says there is a problem? I see a lot of people mention that they don't try to sell accessories, but then a few say that they do. Whats the deal, do they just randomly pick people to try to sell accessories to or what? And I know it says brand new factory fresh with USA warranty, does that mean it has everything in the box that it would from any other store? I am going to be getting a G3 by the way. Thanks.

What company is providing the reviews?

Like we have never seen someone cook their numbers before! ;-)

Having been one of the people who gave a good review to Buydig after buying my overpriced D60 from them (at least they had one at the time). Yes they tried to sell me accessories, but did not pressure me to buy them. I am actually glad in my case that they did, since I got the 75-300 IS, however, the bad side was they recommended the Tamron 28-85, which was a bad lens with the D60. So I would be leary of asking them for advice on which accessories to get in the future, but I would buy from them again (and have twice) since I can trust them with my credit card number. Very fast delivery. They delivered everything I ordered as I expected it.

As to the reviews, When I was checking them out, I noticed that the bad reviews tended to be geographical in nature and good reviews out numbered bad reviews 10:1. This seemed fairly good to me at the time, although I still used the phone to order instead of on-line. They have provided me what I ordered and it got to me fairly fast. That is good enough for me. I do tend to get things from whoever is cheaper, which they were the second time I ordered from them (my S9000 printer)

Interesting. I will have to look at them closely to see which regions had the bad reviews. Thanks. By the way, the stuff was everything in the box, just like it would be from any other store, right?

IF you paid $2200 or less for the D-60 it was not overpriced. As far as the Tamron lens versus a Canon that is a matter of opinion. But the main thing they do is overcharge for memory, batteries, card readers, filters, extended warranties and shipping.

and how much for an extra cartridge or usb cable?

Yes,

Camera, battery, cables, software, neck strap, AC adapter. Same setup as my 10D which I bought in a store (the 10D did not (and does not) come with the AC adapter). I knew I had to get the lens seperately, otherwise it was ready to go.

They overpriced the amount for the USB cable and I suspect the filters, the spare battery was in the ballpark (except that it was third party) and the lenses were on the low end of the market. I don't regret any of the prices as at the time they were all within the ballpark (or lower) for local stores (except the camera - which would have been cheaper in the store if I was willing to wait).

I considered some items to be overpriced, but I knew what the prices were so don't consider me as being overcharged, just overpriced. Semantics I know, but the point is I trust them with my money, but I need to do my shopping first to figure out price.

I seem to remember I paid about $400 over list price for the D60, but at the time, they were one of two with it listed in stock and the other company looked scamish to me, so I went with Buydig and haven't regreted it since. The local stores were indicating a 3 month wait and it took 4 weeks before I saw it in stock at any other location. That would be 30+ days with no camera. This was July of last year. Overall if I ignore the camera, my overall cost was about equal to B+H for lenses and accessories, since the 75-300 IS was about $60 cheaper at Buydig at the time. On the flip side, I really hate that Tamron lens (since replaced by the Canon 28-135 IS) so I kind of consider that wasted money.

Trivia: 10D was more available when it came out and I got one from local store on day one.
