Wow, after reading Warren's post, I just checked my Dell status and it's shipped via UPS. It must have just gone out because UPS can't track it yet. I ordered a day or 2 after all that Melissa hoopla, or whoever it was at Dell that started the mini frenzy.

I called Dell and they said that mine is supposed to ship out tomorrow. Hmmm. They also said I'd have it on May 16. But in light of folks receiving their tracking numbers, I have a little more hope for this claim.
I'll post back if I get a tracking number.

P.S. Back when Dell failed to come through on the initial order. I emailed to complain and demanded Next Day shipping---and I got it. So, I'm hoping for Wednesday.

I ordered on the same day. Overnight delivery. No word yet. Still showing June 30th. Have a call into Melissa at dell.

I really didn't expect to be in the first shipments, but the East coast distrib. must be ruling. I also didn't really expect it today if it shipped yesterday, but I just got back from errands and found the box from Dell on the doorsteps.

Ditto. I filed a formal complaint. They say my camera will be shipped no earlier than June 30th--yet they also say I could find it on my porch tomorrow.
Terrible system when someone who ordeedr May 13th -overnight-still doesn't have it and those ordering on May 22 ground --have it. I suspect it has to do with which warehouse-but that should not be my problem.
So--I spent significantly more with B & H. If the Dell comes, I will have them pick it up--unless someone writes me they want it. I was going to be charged $643 to Delll and $749 to B & H with overnight.

I just spoke with a Sales rep at Dell about my order. (I tried going through the "order status" options, and wound up in phone mail perdition.) After hearing yesterday that mine would ship out today, the nice sales lady indicated that the V1 is showing backorder status, and that it will be 3 weeks before I should even scratch an itch over it.
I HATE that I got such a good price with Dell. Were it not for that, I would cancel faster than I could dial 1-800-www-Dell.
