Hi friends,

This is the other player of the backgammon game. She told me that she's a soldier in the Israeli air force.

I used the 717 and fill flash.

Enjoy portraits, Yehuda

Always been impressed by your pictures, always very impressively shot especially given that they taken on the fly like they are.

I wouldn't normally think to be interested in posed portraits but yours always seem to have that little bit extra - perhaps its there I don't know what the words is. slight confusion, wonder, apprehension, suprise that you're photographing them. Always backed up by a natural feel where the models are relaxed and interesting to look at.

oh as for:
She told me that
she's a soldier in the Israeli air force.
She looks to me like she should have been in Streetfighter or something like that Cammi wasn't it?!

WOW just about sums up my reaction as well. Your portraits give
the impression that every young lady in Israel goes through
modeling training.
Hi Chuck,

Well, not all of them. But most of them are really pretty. Something in the water here, I think.

Thanks, and enjoy portraits, Yehuda

Hi Peter,
That's right. My 'studio' is where I meet those wonderful people.
Thank you for your encouraging words.

Reading STFer comments I must come to the conclusion that people here are more friendly to foreigners than elsewhere.

Sorry not to understand this...
I visited your gallery. Nice photos and beautifully arranged.

Have a nice Sunday, Yehuda

Peace to you, Yehuda:

You have taken many, many pictures of the beautiful people of Israel, and the quality of those shots, even with your older camera, still was very good.

But this is different. This shot, I must say, is your best. Yes, the subject is beautiful, but this photograph has all of the right parts, in my opinion: good framing, good skin tone, shadows are not distracting, and the sun seems to be in the right position.

Some photographers are fantastic in the studio, still others are great outdoors, but there aren't many who can take the impromptu photograph of a great subject in the right conditions and come up with the quality of this one, but you have.

I say in all seriousness that you should consider a "coffee table" type of book of your photographs of people in Israel.

Holy Land, indeed.

I have to agree with other poster. This is the best of your. So great. The lighting, the pose, the model.. all are very professional. You definately convince me that you dont' need a studio with sophiticated lighting system to get pro-quality.

This shot is so great. I not only like, but love it.

Mr. Katz,

After repeated observations of the wonderful 'photo ops' you have supplied, coupled with the occasional statistical info regarding your circumstances, I have come to certain conclusions:

Aftershave and arm twisting aside, I believe that a measure of speculation might lead to the assumption that you live in a moderately unique quadrant of the known world.

My wanderings have placed me in some rather unique locales, over time and circumstance, possibly similar.

Speculation, for nothing more than keeping this board flowing just outside the traditional repartee, coupled with an 'adult' beverage or two, causes my to ask:

Are your many wonderful images taken withen a rather special community?

I ask it as such, because my travels have taken me to a number of (3) locations that were rather specific communities, around the world, that catered to military and subcontractor lifestyles.

All preceding hogwash aside, I imagine that you are located in a portion of the world where education and intellect might lead to a tendency towards attractive folks.

My experience has been that communities of intellect, are often compiled of attractive folks.

For the naysayers, please consider that I am nominally 'attractive', at best, but am still curious about "Yehuda's" world.

Yehuda, as tough as it may be, care to describe your 'world.'

Regardless,

Your observer.

Shalom Florindo,

I really appreciate these words. No better encoragement can a photographer ever have!

Maybe, when I grow up...

Thank you Florindo, and God bless,

Yehuda
