Exilim Z3 died after removing from docking station.

Hi all,

I have this neat camera now for 2 days and today i wanted it to take it with me to take some photo's for the family.
I turned it on but it was completly dead.
I already removed the battery and SD memory card but still nothing.
When I place it back into the cradle nothing happens.

So my question to you all, is there a reset button somewhere on this camera? Or a button combination? Or should I send it away for repair?

Please advise.

Ah sorry.... I see now from your email address that you are in the Netherlands. I guess you don't have a way to contact Casio US customer support. Just in case you do, though, here is the phone number... 800-435-7732... I have called them a few times to ask questions and they have always been friendly and tried to be helpful. Good luck... getting an answer from them seems like the best option.

I've contacted the domestic Service centre here and I told them about my problem and the guy thought it was the battery. I told him otherwise, cause I've got a spare and with that in the camera nothing happened too.

I meassured the power in the battery and it read 4.017 volts, so it's definately not the battery here.

So now I'm sending it in after only I had it for 2 days :-(.

The weird thing is also that when I made a movie there was no sound on the movie during play and this camera supposed to be able to have sound recording , doesn't it?
Anyway to make the story short, let's hope they will replace my camera.

de Z3 neemt wel video met geluid op! Alleen als je het korte filmpje bekijkt op je camera hoor je idd geen geluid, want de Z3 heeft geen speaker alleen een microfoon!

Dus het geluids hoor je alleen als je het bekijkt op de pc!

the Z3 does take video with sound, only when you look @ the movie @ the camera you don't hear the sound because the camera has no speaker only a microphone!

So if you wanna listen 2 the sound you recorded, watch it on your pc!
