Happy (or not) dpreview posting withdrawal

As posted, dpreview will be going into read-only mode for the new few days before they switch over to the new format.

Hopefully when it comes back the brand new dpreview will be to everybody's taste. I really haven't followed what the changes will be. I suspect if they eliminate threading, it may push me to spend less time here and more at the other forum I post to (mu - 43 dot com). We will see.

I must admit I still wish it was the early 2000's when there was only a single Olympus talk forum, and the UZI (C-2100UZ) was often the king of the hill in the little OTC forum. Dpreview was a lot more fun back then. Of course there was the time I was responsible for a major flame war in one of the photo challenges, for which I'm sorry.

Bummer. As I said, there are other forums out there. We will see if dpreview comes back. Hopefully it will.

I don't recall if dpreview still censors posts listing other photo forums, but as I said, there is 'mu - 43 dot com', which is generally only focused on micro 4/3rds gear. There are various other forums, that mostly I don't visit. In the names, eliminate the spaces and replace 'dot' with '.', and add the https colon slash slash prefix:

• dprforum dot com
• mu - 43 dot com as mentioned above
• fredmiranda dot com
