I had a date of Oct 28th for my GRIV shipment, but it now reverted to "backordered" with no estimate. Hoping others can chime in on when they ordered and where they are in the waiting process (or if they've received theirs already). I'm hoping I can get mine before mid Dec because I'll have a bunch of time to use it between then and early Jan.

I would guess that B&H would have product soon.

I'm still in the decision process to purchase one. Amazed in the lack of interest here for a new product release.

I ordered a GRIV from B&H a couple of weeks after release, and of course it was backordered. A few days later I ordered directly from Ricoh US and.received the GRIV about a week later. Try Ricoh directly.

I also ordered a second battery from B&H and was notified today that it shipped with a November 5 eta.

Hope you’re right about the B&H stock!!

I’m not sure it’s lack of interest here as much as it’s just a drop in overall forum activity and the fact that this camera seems like a proven platform but with improvements that don’t need a ton of discussion. But maybe that’s not right, I can’t speak for others.
I like the GR IV... a lot. I think they made all the right improvements and did an amazing job at balancing the design options and choices.

But... my GR III Diary Edition is two years old and performing well. If I buy a GR IV now you will know that I just won the lottery or that my rich uncle died! OTOH my GR IIIx is three+ years old with a lot more pictures taken on it, and the rear wheel is flakey. When the GR IVx is announced next year I will be an early adopter.

For those already with a GR camera it is a question of whether (or when) it is worth the upgrade. For others it is a question of whether there is enough to try a GR to buy in. I saw a review a month back where the reviewer did not like the GR IV but none of the comments were specific to the IV, i.e., they would not have liked the I, II, or III. This is the reality of a "niche" camera.
