My muse. Much of my photo effort and upgrades are because of her.

I get a few good pics, but I cheat: I only shoot old cars and young women.

G R E A T Photo! Honest and great seeing!

It's a shame I lopped off the top of her head.

It's also a shame that the flash to camera right failed to fire. Thank the lord for Lightroom.

ETA: Although I like this, it's not as good as the other, in that her chin is lost in the shadows and I'd have to do pixel level editing to fix it. Live and learn.

Sometimes perfect photos can be boring... exploring the frame is how you discover your voice. Don't sell yourself short. Take into consideration your "mistakes" as refinement and open options to look into your photos as explorations. Just because someone tells you this is the "correct" lighting set-up or this is the "correct" way to frame- doesn't always mean it is..spend an equal amount of time studying all your photos side by side with your eye--

Thanks again, KR. I do like this photo, even while realizing my errors. This was always intended for higher contrast, as my lights were hard right and left, 60 or 75 degrees off axis. The fact that the Olympus optical RC system failed to set off the right-hand flash certainly increased that effect. I upgraded to Godox wireless immediately after that session. Maybe I'll miss the serendipity, but I can do without the aggravation.

Perfection would be boring, for sure. On the other hand, I probably should have slid the Texture slider a bit to the left, I think. The high contrast look is generally really great for her, but it does her skin no favors. It's not uninteresting to me or us, but I'd never send this to her without some smoothing out.

I do go back over my photos, looking for stuff I did wrong as opportunity to improve, plus I do enjoy some of them.
