** Weekly Fuji X-Series Photo-Sharing Thread Oct. 25-31, 2025**

I am a volunteer at the archaeological society here in Gouda NL.

The town council is now digitizing all our investigations from past decades plus the artefacts that were found.
And I get to photograph them ;).

It is always great to handle these objects and imagine what the lives were like of the people who used them.
These are objects from the 15th to 19th century.
The Fujifilm XF 30mm f/2.8 R LM WR Macro does a great job documenting them.

Here are some examples:

This was monday late afternoon just before sunset on a partly cloudy day. Dark clouds in the background and the sun making it's way through the clouds to illuminate the duck and tree.

Nice capture! The light is almost magical and the diagonal composition too

After spending last couple of years hiking the trails of New Brunswick, totally alone most of the time photographing birds and covered bridges under complete silence… going to a crowded city like Prague was a bit of a shock.
Nice shots. I've been there few times and I do very like this city:

Thanks… nice set too… Doing B&W never occurred to me, but look really nice…

I had a short trip to Taiwan and Japan.

I haven’t been photographing much for about 10 years until 2 years ago when I bought my first camera since 2005. I bought a used Fujifilm X-T4 with 2 used lenses. I’ve been madly in love with the Fujifilm system ever since. Ive purchased another 9 lenses (7 of which were used). I’m sure some people would think this is excessive but I am so happy with all the equipment.
Here are a few images from my trip. I welcome any comments, questions, or critique as I usually don’t get to show any of my images to anyone anymore.
Thanks

These are all great shots. Strong compositions, nice light, bold imagery for sure. Thank you.

Mr. Smart (if that is your true moniker), this is a wonderful set and your keen eye for composition and color is on full display!

Your connection to this monument through lineage is special. And yes, the sentiment is also held with the comment on your last image.

As I just mentioned, the photography for the last week of the old software is remarkable. Thanks for your contribution.

A task I'm sure you welcomed joyously (as your emoji suggests).

Not if it brings joy and meaning...... unless you can't put food on the table. 😁 So you have 11 lenses? I hesitate to tell you how many I own....... okay I won't!

Pleased you decided to share them here with a community of like-minded souls.

Rented the Sigma 100-400 for the trip I recently returned from. It proved quite useful- light and not too bulky. Was easier to get used to the aperture adjustment by dial vs on the lens than I thought it would be.

These two images are from above Hwy 395 near Lake Crowley. C&C welcome.

The flock of birds were kind enough to fly into the shot just so. 🙂

It was an early Pacific snow storm. We even got a little rain where I live. Good move to rent. Finally, nice trip to share images. I'm old enough to recall when family or friends asked to get together to look at "vacation" photos (prints). Used to be torture. Now a 180, especially for a group on a photo forum.
