** Weekly Fuji X-Series Photo-Sharing Thread Oct. 25-31, 2025**

Because of the migration to the new Xenforo forum software and UI beginning next Friday, the weekly thread will skip a week. Posting to the new forums will take a little getting used to, even for yours truly.

So stay tuned because change is in the air......

If you didn't read the info thread referenced on the top of all the forum pages here it is:

Thanks for this. I see the banner sign-posting the post explaining the new arrangement, but have yet to read it. I hope it will be a seamless, easy, faff-free, etc, experience and that our threads, posts, profiles, kit lists, etc, will be retained and not lost to the ether never to see the light of day again.
Everything is supposed to be maintained. The only major issue is threaded view will not be supported moving forward for new posts. This will limit the easy following of subthreads and discussions. I stress "easy" because the current system facilitates that.
Thanks, fingers crossed!

PS. Stourhead, if you are in England, is well worth a visit.

Fujifilm X-T3 with Fujifilm 16mm f/2.8, Ttartisan 50mm f/0.95, Fujifilm 50-230mm, Ttartisan 27mm f/2.8.
My settings got wiped just before I came out here, so the 50mm is showing as 21mm in the data.

Cheers, Bob.

One of the biggest changes will be the inability to change the title - as the thread title is fixed. That will impact image sharing threads maybe more than other types. It will take some getting used to as Uncle Bob states.

What I urge those participating in the B&W photo sharing thread on the-photo.org is to start the body with a title and include a description in the body along with the image. In replying to an image, one needs to include the image in a quote or people will rapidly get lost.

The light in the first one is beautiful!

And in the last one, I can't think of a better illustration of the golden ratio than that.

The new church closer with the old tin church behind it. Both now in secular use only. A colony built by the owners of a coal mine. Just south of the Tyne at Wylam

Three from my trip last week. It snowed one of the days, and made for some interesting/cool color/winter combos. Luinar Neo with Apple Photos and a tiny bit of Photomator. C&C welcome.

Pulled quite a bit of blue out of this- it was deep canyon afternoon shadow. Almost missed it to, if I hadn't turned around to see what was behind me. June Lake Loop (but not actually June Lake- one of the others).

I like this one, the reflection on the lake is very dreamy. Somehow I have a feel that if you cut our or mask the road in the back, it'd be even better.

On a recent business trip last week, I got the opportunity to make a side trip to Gettysburg yesterday!

Self-guided audio tour for a few hours. Very solemn, almost surreal, how the past coexists with the present in this town where modern life continues amidst the ghosts and monuments of the past.

The second monument to Ohio's 75th Infantry Regiment. 2 in 3 of them fell over the course of the 3-day battle. Having survived the battle as a lowly corporal, in 1913 TJ McClellan returned to this battlefield 50 years later for a reunion. By that time, he'd become a moderately successful "tycoon", having brought both electricity and the railroad to his adopted young hometown of Tenino Washington, a region where his descendants continue to thrive.
