Ebay prices for Leica gear.

I'm looking into the Q3 43. I've had good luck buying used, so far. Ebay frequently has prices several thousands of dollars lower than others. The sellers have good ratings, frequently an online store also. Anyone have experience with these cheaper sellers, want to recommend one?

No one is legitimately selling anything for thousands less than value, no one. I've been looking at all the available ads ... everywhere... because I'm selling an extra Q3 43 and a Q2 to pick up another Q3. I've reviewed every ad and any dealers that I've found with prices lower than normal are sketchy Ebay sellers, mostly in China, that have 0 feedback or no sales at all or both. Both of those are huge signs of fraud, add to that lower than normal prices and you have a almost 100% likelihood of getting ripped off. If the deals were legit, they would have been grabbed up long ago. Good luck with your search. If you have an example of a seller that is thousands under value, feel free to post it up so we can show you why it's fraud.

The ones that have caught my attention have good ratings, not in china, and have web sites. Course that is not absolute proof of anything but I'm investigating.

Have you done a query online for reviews independent of the website? I've seen sellers set up elaborate web sites where they import photos from dozens of other sites to pad theirs but have nothing of their own. Of course, if you've checked them out, they could be legit.

I have begun to do that Steve, exploring web scam ratings etc.. I realize this query has a low probability of uncovering anything legit, but it's piquing my curiosity. I had hoped ebay ratings were of some help, but perhaps not.
