I got my original X100 out, charged it up and took it with me to visit my daughter and son-in-law in North Carolina. What a fun time I had using it!

Here's a couple pics taken with it, they are pretty much SOOC, with just a few minor tweaks in LR.

You're right about the snakes, copperhead and cottonmouth time! We had to do a quick sweep of the backyard each morning before letting the dog out. Never saw any snakes but did catch a glimpse of a couple small gators in a nearby pond.

The colors and detail clarity in the OP set and the others posted here are why I love the Bayer-array Fuji X cameras. After accumulating a few of the 24mp Bayer-array models, to complete the set I nabbed a like-new OG X100 about five minutes before the TikTok tsunami hit and prices went crazy. I don't use it enough being a 40mm/50mm equivalent fan in primes, but this is inspiring me to fire it up and take it out dancing.

I have a fond memory of my original X100, but I don't regret selling it.

The sensor was great, but the camera was really limited. I really didn't much like the EVF, resolution was too low. AF with the OVF was often not correct, with huge backfocusing issues the moment the subject was not far enough to be at infinity for some reason.

The menus were pretty dreadful and the complete lack of a Q-menu was really problematic.

I sold it and got an X100S and it pretty much fixed everything. Phase detection on the sensor practically eliminated the back focusing issues for close subjects, the camera has a Q menu and a better layed out main menu. EVF has a 2.36M dot resolution which is still good enough today. It has an X-Trans II sensor that is different from the original's 12MP Bayer chip, but it's still delivering amazing pictures, and the small increase in DR and resolution is very much welcome.
