We all understand the benefit of the leaf shutter and not needing to use HSS and reducing the power of the flash which increases the benefit of small flashes.

I am having a blast with two it30pro’s on the x100vi (one on camera at -.7 ttl and the other handheld at +.7 ttl).

I just realized that with the x100vi leaf shutter i can raise my iso to increase apparent power while increasing shutter speed to bring exposure back where i want it.
This makes these tiny flashes more useful.

Assume the IT30Pro is 15WS at ISO125. At ISO250 the flash should be 30WS and at ISO 500 it jumps to 60WS pretty close to a normal full size flash.

This makes bouncing more feasible.

Fun times.

Sounds nice, but ive always hated how some say Ws others specify GN value on flashes, studios tend to use Ws and hot shoe are reported as GN, im curious is there a scientific way to compare the two with a formula?
