Great photos of a great person and artist! Thanks.

Amazing lady and career.
Nice shots!

Question though...were you working at the show? Or just an attendee? I ask because I go to a lot of concerts and basically none of them allow real cameras through the door.

Thanks for the compliments. The Z 70-200 2.8 IMO is the best version Nikon has made of this lens.
I am a house photographer at this venue and some others. It’s next to impossible to get in with a real camera otherwise.

Saw Ms Harris for the $2.00 cover at the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA. 1972. If memory serves she warmed up an obscure guitar player named David Bromberg.

I’ve had success carrying only one member of the Nikon family into security-conscious low-light venues of this sort, and that’s the N1 V3 w the 32mm 1.2. Ten yrs on still a very capable combo.

Wonderful photos. Many, many years ago (1973) I was fortunate to be at a concert with Gram Parsons ( RIP) and Emmylou playing and singing together, nothing could have been better.

Gram actually "discovered" her and strongly influenced the country rock direction in her music. Their duets on 'Love hurts" and "In my hour of darkness" are as good as it gets!

very nice photos, How did the 180-600 perform for you? Any problems with the slower aperture? I will be photographing a classical music concert soon and will be using the 180-600. Do you use a monopod? I have a Z8 and Z9 and a Z6III, Im leaning towards the Z9 or Z8 just for the better autofocus performance.

Thanks for the comments. The lighting was not great for photography with ELH, but with a monopod, shooting a lot of photos and some PP for noise and levels I got some decent shots. I couldn’t be any closer than the sound both area , front of the house, so the 180-600 was needed to get closer to the stage. For concerts where I can move closer to the stage I prefer the 70-200 2.8Z or the 85 1.2Z.
