Took some pictures some days ago at an interesting exhibition. I used my P9P with a modded version of Gcam. And I'm very pleased with the results.

All pictures SOOC. I just opened and saved them in XnView, with no changes, since dpreview refuses to load Pixel files out of the box.

For that one, not enough subject isolation. But the P9P doesn't have a large sensor, nor has it a super large aperture.

C&C welcome

Interesting photos Andre’, Your comments about subject isolation are probably one of the major differences between mobile photography and camera photography (particularly DSLR). I still use my trusty P7100 regularly and subject isolation is minimal with that, but it is clear the way picture taking is going and my iPhone 13pro can take great pictures.

Thanks Gary. For the kind of photos I usually take, a smartphone is perfectly fine.

BTW, I bought a used Iphone 15 pro some time ago, but I prefer the Pixel. The photo quality is quite the same when using the main and the UWA lenses, but the Pixel tele is better. Also I like Android more than IOS, and whith the Pixel, I can use third party photo apps that give much better results than the original app.

Now that the 17pro is available, with IOS 26, I'll have a look at it when prices come a bit down. For me, 1330 euros for a smartphone is crazy.
